September 19, 2018 By Michelle Lohman Leave a Comment

With the weather slowly changing, (very slowly here in Phoenix) it is not too early to make those necessary preparations for your home. Even our homes in the Valley of the Sun need our attention as the temperatures go from scorching hot to chilly.

Jane Drill shares her 12 Tasks to Tackle Before Fall Arrives in the August 17, 2018 article of Zillow Porchlight

Exterior prep

1. Fix cracks in concrete and asphalt

2. Clean out the gutters

3. Turn off outdoor plumbing

4. Start composting

5. Clean outdoor furniture and gardening tools

6. Plant bulbs for spring-blooming flowers

Interior prep

7. Prepare your furnace for winter duty

8. Clean the fireplace and chimney

9. Keep the warm air inside and the cold air outside
10. Light the way

11. Create a mudroom

12. Home safety check
